2024/25 Council budget proposal – Community Development Team | Stoke-on-Trent City Council

Posted on behalf of Stoke-on-Trent City Council:

The Council has commenced its budget consultation to set out a balanced budget.

In setting a balanced budget we have had to look at all options available to us. The proposals represent some hard choices and new approaches.

One of the proposals is the removal of the Community Development Team and to use the resource to invest in the community, voluntary and faith sector.

The budget proposal is one of three key elements to the way in which we wish to deliver community development for the city.

The Council has published an open letter to all stakeholders who may be impacted by his proposal.

You can read more about this proposal by clicking here.

How can I provide feedback on the budget proposals?

The budget consultation period is open until 12 February 2024.

We are listening and if we need to adapt and adjust our budget proposals through the consultation, we will do so.

If you wish to provide feedback on this proposal (or any other) please email [email protected]. All feedback will be acknowledged and used to inform the budget process.
